Subpar bumper assembly

These would be great shears except for the design of the bumper assemble. During my first use the bumper assembly bent. By the forth use, (and several straightenings of the bumper assembly), the bumper assembly broke. Shamefully, on Barnel USA, you can purchase a replacement assembly knowing it will have the same fate for a whopping @ $15.99, which includes $8.45 in shipping. In my opinion, if the bumper assembly was designed as twice as wide as it is at present, this problem would be solved.

The extra-long handles are awesome. They significantly reduce cutting time on the tops of large hedges.
